MAGO-SG401
MAGNETOSTRICTIVE LEVEL TRANSMITTER
The MAGO SG-401 is a magnetostrictive level transmitter for small tanks (maximum height 5 meters). It is a reliable instrument in all operating conditions. There are no moving mechanical parts requiring maintenance, but a float that moves virtually contactlessly along the guide tube:
- suitable for small tanks for food liquids, service areas, tanks with pressurized products such as LPG and other measurable liquids;
- complete separation between the well and the head with a special certified nipple;
- possibility of replacing the internal probe without removing the guide tube for pressurized tanks (therefore no reclamation is necessary);
- possibility of replacing the internal probe without removing the guide tube for pressurized tanks (therefore no reclamation is necessary);
- consumption less than 0.6W (in one year of operation it consumes only 5Kwh).
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The float with a magnetic disk moves along a guide tube containing the magnetostrictive wire. The pulse generated by the electronics travels along the magnetostrictive wire. At the point where the float is positioned, a torque is created in the magnetostrictive wire, which reflects the pulse via an acoustic wave that returns along the wire. The signal returned to the transmitter is proportional to the pulse travel time.
